Today the Colorado Buffaloes have announced that they have named Junior Quarterback Connor Wood as the teams starting Quarterback come week one of the College Football Season.
This offseason the Colorado Buffaloes took major damage at the Quarterback position losing QB Nick Hirschman via his decision to transfer to Akron. Leaving Sefo Liufau, Connor Wood and Jordan Gehrke to compete for the starting role in which Connor Wood won.
Connor Wood was positioned as the favorite to win the starting role due to him having the most experience. Wood last season saw action but did not see any starting time due to Nick Hirschman being named starter last year, Wood threw 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions for 265 yards. The Buffaloes will be calling upon Wood to hopefully turn the state of the Buffaloes and put the Buffaloes in a positive position for the future to come.
